My husband’s parents often say insulting things about me while I am there. For instance, they say that I am fat, or that I don’t cook very well. My husband never defends me when they do this. When I tell him I feel hurt and ask him to stick up for me, he says it’s not a big deal and tells me not to worry about it.

But it bothers me.
