I Was Robbed

A thief tries to steal something without anybody knowing. For example, you leave your cell phone on your table when you go to the bathroom. If someone steals your phone while you are away, they are a thief.

Some thieves steal things out of your pockets or your bag. This kind of thief is called a pickpocket.

The kind of thief that breaks into your house while you’re sleeping or while you’re away is called a burglar.
