1) Clearly explain what gossip is and give a few examples.
2) Put students in groups and have them share some real gossip about someone they know, but the class does not know.
3) Have students spend a few minutes thinking up some interesting (and fake) gossip about the teacher.
4) Go around the room and have everyone share their gossip about the teacher with the class: "Did you know that our teacher...?"
